Reveals and concealment
A reveal works only if the audience cannot already see the answer. Define what is hidden, what conceals it and the action that exposes it. Russian terms: раскрытие, сокрытие.
Studio example
Section titled “Studio example”At the start, the closed lid hides the paper bird. The courier lifts the lid slowly; only then does the bird become visible.
Check the first-frame image before generating video. Ask the writer to separate setup, revealing action and reaction. A pull-back can reveal the wider setting; an actor’s movement can reveal an object. Choose one mechanism and preserve its order.
Verify the result
Section titled “Verify the result”Watch from the perspective of someone who has not read the brief. If the hidden object is visible at T0, if it appears from nowhere, or if the reaction precedes the reveal, revise the scene. This guide documents the authoring contract; no universal model success rate is established.
Availability and evidence
Section titled “Availability and evidence”This technique is documented as an authoring or workflow practice. It is available only through the stated inputs and operations; it is not a new model parameter. An unrendered example is untested. A dated successful case is an observation for its exact model, version, quality and mode, not a guarantee for another scene. Choose a model by the required operation first.
Related guides: pull back, action and timing, composition.
See the model–technique applicability matrix for connected operations, dated outcomes and configurations that remain untested.
Reviewed 14 October 2026 against the current Studio authoring contract and the evidence described above. No new paid render was made for this example.
