Reuse a character across scenes
Use this recipe when the same character should appear in several scenes. The result is a reusable Element and independently reviewed scene frames; consistency remains something to check, not something a reference guarantees.
Prepare the character
Section titled “Prepare the character”Start with your own usable portrait or reference image. If you need several views, choose Character Design Board from the generator library and supply the image it asks for. Review its model, format and estimate before generating the sheet.
Check face, proportions, clothing and details across every view. The generator makes the sheet; the Element stores the identity. An existing suitable image can go straight into an Element without generating a new sheet.
Give the Element a useful name, the character role and a clear description. Save it in your library if it should be reused in other projects.
Compose the scenes
Section titled “Compose the scenes”Connect the Element to Prompt Scriptwriter and inspect how each scene refers to it. Make the action and location specific. Generate one scene image at a time and compare it with the character reference before making a clip.
The finished scene image belongs in Video’s first frame input on a first-frame route. Keep the multi-view character sheet as reference material in the Element. Otherwise the clip can start from the sheet itself.
Choose a model and mode that accept the required references. Check the actual input budget when several characters, a place, a style sample or a sheet share the same request. A model name alone does not establish which inputs fit.
Verify and recover
Section titled “Verify and recover”Compare the first and last frame of each clip with the accepted character appearance. If identity drifts, first inspect which reference media were sent, which inputs were held back and whether the model/mode supports them. More prompt words cannot repair a missing visual input.
Through MCP, use list_my_elements → describe_element, apply the chosen library Element to an Element node, and connect it downstream. Quote and run supported branches; inspect scene delivery with describe_scene when the result seems unrelated.
See Element concepts, frames and sheets and the node reference.
