Multiple characters
Multiple-character direction must make identity, action and speech unambiguous. The number of accepted reference images is not the number of reliably animated people. Russian terms: несколько персонажей.
Studio example
Section titled “Studio example”The courier with the blue scarf hands the ticket to the gardener in the striped apron. The gardener takes it with the right hand while the courier watches silently.
Use distinct Elements and keep their names consistent in the scene. Tell the writer who is visible in each shot, who acts and who speaks. For a short interaction, reduce unnecessary simultaneous motions before increasing clip length.
Verify the result
Section titled “Verify the result”Check for merged faces, swapped clothing, duplicated people and actions assigned to the wrong person. Verify each speech line separately. One successful single-character exam does not establish multi-character performance; untested combinations remain untested.
Availability and evidence
Section titled “Availability and evidence”This technique is documented as an authoring or workflow practice. It is available only through the stated inputs and operations; it is not a new model parameter. An unrendered example is untested. A dated successful case is an observation for its exact model, version, quality and mode, not a guarantee for another scene. Choose a model by the required operation first.
Related guides: character identity, dialogue.
See the model–technique applicability matrix for connected operations, dated outcomes and configurations that remain untested.
Reviewed 14 October 2026 against the current Studio authoring contract and the evidence described above. No new paid render was made for this example.
