Image style samples
An image sample can describe a medium, palette, surface treatment or lighting. It also contains subjects. Tell the authoring step which properties matter, then inspect whether the resulting scene keeps your intended content.
Start with an approved scene image
Section titled “Start with an approved scene image”Use a reference-capable image model when you need a visual sample. Give the sample an explicit role, supply the character and place separately, and describe the new scene. Review the generated image before using it as a video first frame. A first frame directly specifies an opening scene; a style image used as a reference does not necessarily control the entire later video.
Original example: use a still showing layered paper texture to guide a new greenhouse scene. Ask for the gardener and greenhouse from your own Elements, with paper edges and matte colors throughout. Do not copy the sample’s animal, landscape or lettering into the description.
Evidence and limits
Section titled “Evidence and limits”In the 4 October 2026 style experiments, a prepared stylized first frame remained stylized through tested Seedance 2.0 Fast and FLUX 3 Draft clips. Some action requirements were still incomplete. This is evidence for those first-frame cases, not for every image-reference style path or every model tier.
Other experimental image-style requests were not connected product workflows. Do not infer a separate style-image control simply because a research request accepted an image. A sample can affect only the character while the background remains photographic, or import unwanted objects. Inspect the whole frame and the entire clip.
Availability: use the actual reference or first-frame modes described on the model pages. Outcome: untested unless a dated case matches the model, version, mode and input role. Character identity and visual style need separate checks.
Russian alias: картинка-образец стиля. See the model–technique applicability matrix for connected operations, dated outcomes and configurations that remain untested.
Reviewed 14 October 2026 against the current model and Element contracts and the dated first-frame experiments. No new example was rendered for this documentation.
