FLUX.1 Kontext
FLUX.1 Kontext is an image model by Black Forest Labs. An image-editing option that needs a source image. It is useful when the task is a concrete modification to something that already exists; it is not Vini’s text-only generation option.
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Model ID | flux_kontext |
| Name | FLUX Kontext |
| Availability | available |
| Default for new nodes | no |
Common declared limits
Section titled “Common declared limits”| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Capabilities | reference edit, multi reference |
| Element input form | sheet |
| Maximum image references | 3 |
Limits apply together. initial is the studio choice for a new node; default is the fallback for an existing node without that value. Declared language or input support does not guarantee a successful result.
Prompting playbook
Section titled “Prompting playbook”Write an editing instruction. Name the subject by visible features, say exactly what changes and preserve the identity, geometry and lighting that matter. Split unrelated edits into reviewable steps.
Studio example
Section titled “Studio example”On an Image node (Картинка), choose FLUX.1 Kontext. Supply the input image or Element when the selected operation requires a reference. Use this original example as a starting point:
Replace the green scarf with a red scarf. Keep the person’s face, hairstyle, jacket, pose and background unchanged.
Review the prompt and expected format before running. Compare the output against the source, including hands, face, object count, lettering and crop. Use the resulting scene image as a video first frame only after approving it. For automation, follow the supported MCP workflow.
Known failure modes
Section titled “Known failure modes”Multiple references with incompatible visual styles can make identity preservation harder. Historic observations from the archived bot pipeline are not evidence for the current Studio workflow.
Evidence and limits
Section titled “Evidence and limits”The current hero-input research includes reference-sheet behavior. There is no broad current multi-character, mixed-style identity benchmark for this page. Review each edit against its source.
An available reference input is not a guarantee of identity preservation. See reference workflows and image style samples. Generation and editing are different tasks; keep their evidence separate.
Reviewed 14 October 2026 against Vini’s image registry and dated research. Official model-author documentation checked on that date. Recheck the guidance when the model version or connected operation changes.
