Publish a finished video

Publishing starts from a finished video and sends it to a connected social account. Downloading a file, sharing a Vini result and publishing a social post are separate actions.

  1. Open Studio menu → Account and balance → Social.
  2. Connect the intended TikTok account or YouTube channel and complete its consent screen.
  3. Return to the studio and check the account name and connection state.
  4. Open Publish for the finished video. Choose the platform and then the account when more than one is available.

A connected identity can still lack permission to publish, have expired access or have been revoked. Reconnect the affected account instead of selecting another destination accidentally. Connecting the same account again can restore its access without adding a new row.

Before submitting, preview the selected video and verify the destination shown above the form.

An agent connected over MCP can prepare a post with put_publish_draft: the caption with its hashtags, a cover frame and the account. It never publishes. It returns a link that opens the project with the publish window of that platform already open; without the link, Publish on the video picks up the same draft.

  • The caption replaces the project name in the description, the prepared account is selected, and Made with AI is on. A line above the fields says that an agent prepared them.
  • Every field stays editable, and visibility still has no default: you choose it and press Publish yourself.
  • One draft is kept per platform in a project; a newer one replaces the previous draft.
  • The link picks the video named in the draft, the only finished video, or the end of the chain. When several finished videos qualify, the studio asks you to open Publish on the right node instead of guessing.

The form loads the creator’s current allowed options. Choose a visibility setting explicitly and review interactions, AI disclosure and any commercial-content controls offered. The studio checks the clip duration against the current account limit.

Cover shows the frame TikTok will use as the cover: the first frame by default, or the frame prepared in a draft. Pause the preview on the frame you want and press Use the preview frame, or return to First frame. A frame past the end of the video blocks Publish until you pick an earlier one.

Available actions depend on the account and the integration’s current access. If direct posting is unavailable and the form offers a draft, use Send to TikTok drafts and finish in TikTok.

A draft transfers the video. The caption, visibility, interaction settings, AI disclosure, commercial declaration and cover must be completed in TikTok; do not assume those choices travelled with the file. When an agent prepared the caption, the window shows it with Copy caption so you can paste it in the app, and names the prepared cover frame. Follow the in-app notification and inspect the draft before publishing it.

If TikTok reports a limit or refuses a post, read that error before trying again. Repeated submission is not a fix for a restriction.

Choose the channel, enter a title and description, then explicitly choose visibility and audience. A prepared draft fills the title with the first line of its caption and the description with the whole caption; YouTube does not take a cover frame from the draft. Review the Made with AI checkbox and the consent information before pressing Publish.

The form validates its text fields and displays upload/processing progress. A Google sign-in without a YouTube channel cannot receive the upload: create the intended channel and connect it again.

After completion, use Open on YouTube. Check playback and actual visibility there. The requested setting does not guarantee that the platform made the video public. A Vini upload receipt also does not certify that YouTube classified a video as a Short.

If uploading is still in progress, wait for its terminal state. When an upload appears to have completed but the response is missing, inspect the destination before submitting again.

For an expired connection, reconnect the same intended account. For invalid text or duration, correct the stated input. For a platform restriction, use the available supported route or finish the upload manually.

The documented publishing route is the studio interface. The MCP tool catalog does not provide a social-publication tool. An agent can prepare the media and the post (list_social_accounts, put_publish_draft); you review the social form, make its choices and publish in the browser.

For sending a preview without creating a social post, see sharing and reusing work.
