Video style samples

A video sample can convey camera movement, cutting rhythm, light and color. It can also carry its people, place and props into the output. A “style sample” role states your intention; it does not guarantee that a model separates style from content.

Analyze the clip and use words describing its filming choices in Prompt for the model. In the sample-aspects controls, “only how it is filmed” borrows camera/editing and light/colour, while the idea, action, place and sound remain your own. The brief and Elements have priority. This authoring path does not require feeding the clip itself into Video.

Alternatively, attach a clip as a style-sample Element only when the chosen video mode accepts that input. Review the model and mode’s style-reference note. A source clip in edit mode is the clip being changed, not merely a filming example.

These are individual observations, not a ranking or repeatability promise:

Model and tested configuration Date Observed outcome
Seedance 2.0 Fast and Full, reference mode 4 October 2026 Light and cutting rhythm transferred without the sample’s people or location; the opening still followed the location image closely.
Seedance 2.0 Draft, reference mode 4 October 2026 Partial transfer; less camera adherence and problems with the people’s appearance.
Seedance 2.5, reference mode 4 October 2026 Rhythm and light transferred, exact camera movement did not. Other prompt variants imported sample landscape.
Gemini Omni Flash v1.1, reference mode with style clip 5 October 2026 Warmth and backlight transferred; the overhead and low camera movements did not reproduce exactly.
Wan Base, reference mode 4 October 2026 The final shot imported people and landscape from the sample. Prime was not tested in this case.
Kling, tested first-frame and reference requests 4 October 2026 The multi-person, multi-shot sample was refused at input. A different single-character clip is not covered by this result.

Other combinations remain untested unless their model page cites a corresponding observation. Missing evidence is not proof of unsupported input. A successful experiment made outside the shipped workflow is not a connected Studio feature.

For a greenhouse scene, borrow a wide opening, a low side tracking shot and warm backlight from a sample while keeping your gardener and greenhouse. Inspect the prepared text for sample-specific people, landmarks and props. After rendering, compare camera, rhythm and light separately from subject identity. If the sample’s landscape appears, try an explicit words-only filming description and review again.
